CATW Purchases Sandwiches

Late last year the Community Associations of The Woodlands, TX ( CATW ) purchased 12 sandwiches and 12 soft drinks for a grand total including tip and tax of $354.45.

Each sandwich cost $19.95. Once you add in the 20% tip, the CATW paid $23.94 per sandwich. A receipt dated on the same date as the sandwiches, December 03, 2005, shows that the CATW spent $28,478.13 on some kind of party. If you look at the receipt you will see that the CATW spent $50.00 per person for 400 people ($20,000 ). Also on the receipt are other rental fees. For example, LCD projector – $450.00 , Two wireless microphones – $250.00 , Viewing screen for the projector – $110.00. Also included was an $800.00 chocolate fountain.

There are also some receipts for hundreds of umbrellas costing thousands of dollars.

The tip alone for this party was over $4,100.
