The Woodlands Monitor (The Woodlands, TX) – On December 1, 2006, the Woodlands Community Association (WCA), The Woodlands Association (TWA) and the Woodlands Commercial Owners Association (WCOA), threw a party for themselves and some volunteers at the Waterway Marriott in The Woodlands, TX.
The party, which takes place once a year, provides food, entertainment and gifts for the “volunteers”. The “volunteers” mainly consist of individuals who have given their time by serving on one of the Village Associations and/or serving on the WCA, TWA or WCOA.
Documents obtained through the Public Information Act show that this party cost the residents of The Woodlands approximately $27,000.
