The Texas Department of Public Safety has released a summary of new laws that will become effective on September 1, 2007. The list includes nearly 30 new laws or changes/additions to existing laws.
The laws cover a wide variety of issues from requiring drivers over the age of 85 to pass a vision test, to removing the requirement for persons to retreat before using deadly force to defend themselves.
