According to Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office sources, at approximately 10:00 p.m. Sunday evening, two individuals were robbed at gunpoint in the Timber Mill Apartments parking lot in the 1400 Block of Sawdust Road. Two of the four suspects displayed handguns during the robbery. The suspects took cell phones, wallets and cash from the victims. The victims were unharmed and the suspects fled the area.
Very shortly after the incident was reported a sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle not far from the scene. The vehicle’s occupants matched the description of the suspects. The deputy was able to detain the driver of the vehicle, Harold Scott, 21, of Houston, but the other three individuals fled on foot.
A Harris County canine unit arrived on scene at approximately 10:20 p.m. to aid in the search for the other suspects. The suspects appeared to be traveling towards IH-45. However, the canine search ended at approximately 11:15 p.m. without capturing any additional suspects.
Sometime near midnight, another sheriff’s deputy spotted two individuals matching the description of the suspects in the 25000 block of I-45 North. The suspects fled on foot into the Imperial Chase Apartments area and Nolan Dickens, 17, of Houston, was apprehended. The other suspect successfully fled the scene.
Harold Scott and Nolan Dickens are charged with aggravated robbery, a first degree felony.
According to state statutes, a first degree felony is punishable by 5 to 99 years imprisonment and a fine not to exceed $10,000.
