MCSO Press Release – Missing Person – Freeman

On April 5, 2008, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office patrol units responded to a report of a missing person in the 24000 block of FM 1485 East. The subject that was reported missing was last seen swimming in a pond near the 24000 block of FM 1485 in New Caney at approximately 5 pm by friends. Patrol conducted an extensive ground search throughout the night.

At 7:30 am on 4/6/2008, members from the MCSO dive team assisted by Porter Fire Department and The Woodlands Fire Department began searching the pond. At 2:50 pm, a body was recovered by the MCSO dive team matching that of the missing person, tentatively identified as Tommy Jack Freeman.

Justice of the Peace for Precinct 4, Judge Metts, performed an inquest and ordered an autopsy. The body was sent to the Southeast forensic center for autopsy.
