District 1 – Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)
Residents of Shadow Bay Subdivision had their mailboxes damaged during the July 4th weekend. The Sheriff’s Office and the Postmaster were notified of the Criminal Mischief. During the past week, numerous citizens reported someone trying to use their personal information for opening credit card information or finding that someone had forged checks on their banking accounts. One victim was even contacted by the IRS about her working for a company in North Carolina, which she never had worked for. Deputies took the reports and turned them over to the Detective Division for further investigation into the Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information. This crime is a Felony.
Wapiti Operating reported a theft of copper wire at one of their well sites located off of FM 3083 and Jefferson Chemical Road. The value of the wire stolen was $100, but the estimated damage was $4000. This copper theft has been turned over to Detectives for further investigation.
Destruction of park benches was reported by a resident in the Lochness Cove Subdivision. The park is approximately one acre and located next to a private boat ramp. The park had been littered with toilet paper and the park benches had been broken off at the base and tossed into the lake. The repair value is $600. This case has been referred to the Detective Division.
An A/C window unit was stolen from a residence located in the 15,000 block of Palmetto, in Conroe, on July 3rd. The leaser of the address advised he went to see a movie and on his return discovered the A/C unit missing from the front window. Sgt. Rogers responded to this call and referred it to the Detective Division.
Criminal Mischief was dispatched on July 4th, at a residence on Cochran Street, in Willis. The complainant advised his four custom rims had been spray painted as his vehicle sat in his driveway. The damage was $2000, making this a Felony case.
District 2 – Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)
Deputy D. Weatherford initiated a traffic stop on 06/28/2008, 2351, after a silver vehicle approached him head on at Research Forest Drive. The driver, W/M, 33, had a strong odor of alcohol emitting from his breath and person. He also had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and appeared impaired and disoriented. The driver agreed to field sobriety tests and was determined to be intoxicated. He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, M/B.
On 07/02/2008, 0225, Deputy M. Uber observed a gray vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the 100 block of Sawdust. A traffic stop was conducted and driver, W/F, 21, was observed to have glazed eyes and her speech was slurred. The driver admitted to having two or three beers. The driver agreed to field sobriety testing and at the conclusion of the tests, she was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated, M/B.
Sgt. J. Jenkins and several MCSO deputies were dispatched on 07/01/2008, 1812, to 2100 Buckthorne Place in reference to a robbery. Witnesses advised a black male wearing a white shirt and black hat entered the bank and approached a teller and gave her a note with $$$$ on it. He also had a black folder which had a cell phone inside. The male became frustrated and left the bank. Cpl. S. Mullis was checking the area and observed a black male wearing a white t-shirt and black book in his hands. The subject said he was waiting on a friend. Cpl. Mullis stated there had been a robbery at a bank and the subject stated “that was me”. He was taken into custody for Robbery, F2.
On 07/03/2008, 0110, while on routine patrol in the 25000 block of i-45, Deputy A. Swank observed two females sitting in a vehicle in a dark, unlit area. He approached and made contact with passenger, B/F, 26, and he noticed white powder residue on the floorboard and some on the seat where she was sitting. Consent to search was obtained and a clear baggy of Cocaine was found. The female was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, SJF.
While on patrol on 07/03/2008, 2330, Deputy M. Uber observed a green vehicle stopped in the eastbound lane of Sawdust Road blocking traffic. Deputy advised the driver to pull off the roadway. While speaking to driver, W/M, 43, Deputy Uber observed driver to have bloodshot, glazed over eyes and a strong odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were conducted and subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and the charge was enhanced to M/A because the driver had a previous conviction for DWI.
On 07/04/2008, 1802, Deputies T. Ward and M. Uber observed three vehicles stopped at the end of Timberline Drive. As the deputies approached, they saw individuals sitting on tail gates of two trucks and throwing objects over the sides into the ditch. Deputy Ward found a clear plastic baggy of marijuana beside on of the trucks. Deputy Uber made contact with the subjects, W/F, 16, W/F, 19, W/M, 20, W/M, 19 and W/F, 28. After interviewing the subjects, the minors were issued citations for Minor in Possession of Alcohol. One adult male was arrested for Possession of Marijuana, M/B, and one adult white female was arrested for Furnishing Alcohol to Minors, M/A.
On 07/05/2008, 0015, Deputy M. Uber observed a pickup traveling at a high rate of speed through the parking lot in the 200 block of Sawdust. The truck entered the mail lanes of I-45 and it rapidly crossed three lanes of traffic. Deputy Uber stopped the vehicle and made contact with the driver, W/M, 25. The driver had the distinct odor of alcohol on his breath, along with slurred speech. His DL was not valid and he was asked to step out of the truck. Driver admitted to having two or three beers and after field sobriety tests were completed, he was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, M/B.
District 3 – Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)
On June 30 Deputy C. Turrentine was sent to the 20800 block of FM 1485 for a theft call. The Deputy met with the store manager who was detaining a male for shoplifting. The male had taken several cases of beer out of the store and failed to pay for the items. Total cost of the beer was $313.39. The 18 year old male from Houston was arrested at 3:42pm and transported to jail.
On June 30, Deputy C. Turrentine was dispatched to the 22000 block of Bowden in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with two female complainants, one being the wife of the suspect and the other was his mother. The male had become belligerent toward both of them and he began pushing his mother who hit him in self defense. The male became angry and thought his wife had hit him so he punched her on the eye. The 26 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 7:11pm and transported to jail.
On June 30, Corporal S. Spiller was notified of a disturbance call in the 2200 block of Crysel Road and an intoxicated female had left the location with her grandson in route to Beaumont. The vehicle she was driving was located by a Splendora officer and was observed to have no tail lights and swerving all over the roadway. The 51 year old female from Cleveland was arrested at 11:23pm and charged with DWI with a child passenger. She was transported to jail.
On July 1, Deputy J. Bruce responded to a family violence aggravated assault call in the 19000 block of Timberland Blvd. An argument had taken place between a male and his ex-girlfriend over their 9 year old daughter. The argument continued and the female grabbed a knife. During the struggle the female stabbed the male in the left shoulder. The 26 year old female from Porter was arrested at 7:30pm and taken to jail. The male was taken to the Hospital.
On July 2, Deputy R. Layman was sent to the 16900 block of Old Houston Road in reference to a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with a female complainant who stated she was assaulted by her son’s ex-girlfriend who had come to the residence to retrieve her child. The child had been left there with the grandmother by the father. An argument ensued and the younger female struck the complainant on the face. The 18 year old female from Conroe was arrested at 3:41pm and transported to jail.
On July 3, Deputy J. Howze was notified to assist the fire department in the 18300 block of Emerald Circle. The Deputy arrived and met with the female who had reported that her male neighbor was upset and he had been slinging lighter fluid inside his residence. The Deputy met with the male in the front yard of the residence and found the male to be intoxicated. The 41 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 11:30am and transported to jail.
On July 3, Deputy A. Cross was dispatched to the 23600 block of Tejas Drive for a family violence assault call. The Deputy met with the male complainant who stated he and his female roommate had gotten into an argument. The female hit the male causing him to fall to the ground injuring his arm. The 30 year old female from Porter was arrested at 2:55pm and taken to jail.
On July 5, Deputy G. Jackson was sent to the 17300 block of E. West Lane in reference to a criminal mischief call. The Deputy met with a male complainant who stated a male had damaged his fence while moving a vehicle from the complainant’s yard The Deputy met with the male suspect and found him to be intoxicated. The male was also found to be in possession of xanax. The 30 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 12:21am and transported to jail.
On July 5, Deputy A. White was notified of disturbance call in the 21100 block of Loop 494. On arrival the Deputy was advised the male causing the disturbance had left the location and was walking on Loop 494. The Deputy located the male and found him to be intoxicated. The male was also found to have an outstanding warrant for insufficient funds bad checks out of Smith County. The male was arrested at 6:50pm and transported to jail.

A 41 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 12:45pm, June 30, in the area of FM 1485 and Dry Creek Road by Deputies J. Amstutz and C. Curry for six traffic warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County. The male had been stopped for a traffic violation. The male was transported to jail. A 28 year old female from Splendora who was a passenger in the vehicle was also arrested for a prohibited weapon warrant and a capias warrant out of Montgomery County. She was also transported to jail.
A 52 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 4:15pm, July 1, in the 26000 block of Loop 494 by Sgt. B. Welch for a parole violation warrant out of TDCJ. The male had been detained by a Houston PD officer when Sgt. Welch received him. The male was taken to jail.
A 24 year old male from Porter was arrested at 4:41pm, July 3, by Deputy D. Rippley for five sex offender warrants for failure to register and failure to show change of address out of Montgomery County. He also had three traffic warrants. The male was received from the US Marshalls. The male was transported to jail.
A 32 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 6:12pm, July 3, in the 27600 block of May Road by Deputy J. Bruce for a possession of a controlled substance warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had prior information as to the location of the male. He was taken to jail.
A 38 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 5:45pm, July 5, in the area of Loop 494 and Keith Drive by Deputy G. Harman for a sale alcohol to minors warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had stopped the male on a traffic violation. The male was taken to jail.
A 36 year old male from Cleveland was arrested at 1:36pm, July 6, in the 20800 block of Trinity Way by Deputy J. Amstutz for six traffic warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County. The male was stopped on a traffic violation. The male was transported to jail.
District 4 – Lt. Art Galloway (West County)
On 7/1/08 Deputy K. Krolczyk was dispatched to Misty Meadow in Magnolia in reference to a criminal mischief report. When she arrived on scene she met with the complainant who advised when he came outside this morning he discovered the rear window of his vehicle had been broken out and that it will cost about $300 to replace it. The complainant was issued a case number and the case referred to detectives.
On 7/1/08 Deputy J. Herman was dispatched to Doe Drive in reference to a criminal mischief report. Upon arrival he met with the complainant who stated her car had been willfully damaged by a known suspect. Deputy Herman observed the large dent and several scratches on the vehicle (cost to repair approximately $1,800), took all statements for the report and issued a case number. This case will be referred to detectives.
On 7/3/08 Deputy T. Messina was dispatched to a criminal mischief call on Nichols Saw Mill in Magnolia. Upon his arrival he met with the complainant who stated that someone had shattered a window in his vehicle while he was inside the bar. He was informed of this by someone who came into the bar later in the evening. Estimated cost to replace the rear window is $500. Case will be referred to detectives.
On 7/3/08 Sgt. W. Hammons was dispatched to FM 1774 for an aggravated robbery call. Upon Sgt. Hammons arrival at the scene he met with the complainant who provided him with the information for the report along with suspects and a partial LP#. The LP# was aired and Deputies A. Sumrall and H. Suarez located, followed and stopped the vehicle. Evidence was located pertaining to the robbery and the suspects were identified by the complainant. The suspects were then arrested and transported to the county jail in Conroe. The evidence went to the crime lab. This case referred to detectives.
On 7/4/08 Deputy E. Diaz was dispatched to Little Thorn in reference to burglary of a habitation and theft. Upon arrival at the location Deputy Diaz met with the complainant who provided information for the report. Complainant had purchased the property and been informed by previous owners that they were moved out and he could move in. When complainant stopped by his new residence he discovered various structural items had been stolen from the property. These items included 3 A/C units, 1 submersible pump, and 20 feet of copper gas line pipe to the propane tank, and 1 breaker box that had been damaged during the burglary. Deputy Diaz took the report, collected evidence, photographed the scene, and spoke to witnesses. This case referred to detectives for follow-up.
On 7/5/08 Deputy H. Suarez was dispatched to Hwy 249 in reference to theft of a motor vehicle call. Upon arrival at the location he met with the complainant who stated he had parked his motorcycle in the club’s parking lot, just north of the front door. When his girlfriend stepped outside the club a while later she discovered the motorcycle was gone. Deputy Suarez obtained the information for the report and spoke with two witnesses. The value of the stolen motorcycle reported to be $15,000. This case referred to the Auto Theft Task Force.
On 7/6/08 Deputy D. Birch was dispatched to Gossamer Lane in reference to criminal mischief. When Deputy Birch arrived on scene he met with the complainant who stated that when he arrived home this evening he was advised by his mother-in-law that the A/C unit went out. The complainant stated when he went out to check on the A/C he observed a white male running through his backyard and the A/C unit had been damaged. Cost to repair/replace A/C unit estimated at $800. This case referred to detectives.
District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)
July 1, 2008 6:18 pm. Deputy Neeley responded to an Assault family Violence call on Bentwater Drive. The complainant said that she and her husband got into an argument while driving in their car. The argument escalated and ended with the suspect striking the complainant in the face with a closed fist. The complainant got out of the vehicle and a witness saw her with blood all over her face and called 911. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail for Assault. He also had an outstanding warrant for Motion to Revoke Probation. Bond was set at $500 for the Assault and $5,000 for the warrant.
July 1 – 2, 2008. Sometimes between July 1 at 7:00 pm and July 2, 2008 at 4:00 am unknown suspect(s) broke into four (4) different vehicles in the 1300 to 1700 block of West Pine Lake Circle. The suspects stole over $2,800 worth of property. None of the vehicles were locked. This case will be forwarded to the Detective Division for follow up.
July 5, 2008 @ 9:12 am. Deputy Blackwell and several other District Five units responded to an address in the 1100 block of Lakeview Drive in reference to a runaway being at the location. A welfare check was done and a male (suspect) who was in charge of the residence was found to have an outstanding felony warrant on him. The suspect was arrested and placed in the Montgomery County Jail for the felony warrant which had a no bond placed on it and for Failure to Identify Fugitive. That bond was set at $750.
July 3, 2008 @ 11:51 am. Deputy Wiesepape responded to a Theft call in the 16200 block of Hwy. 105 West. Upon arrival he learned that suspect(s) had stole over $22,600 worth of copper wire from behind a business center. The detectives and Crime Lab personnel came to the scene to process it. This case will be handled by the Detective Division.
District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Town Center)
Cpl. J. P. Gonzales conducted a traffic stop south of College Park on a vehicle changing lanes where prohibited and expired registration. Upon making contact with driver, W/F, 26, Cpl. Gonzales could smell a strong odor of burned marijuana. Driver advised she had marijuana in the console. A plastic baggy was found and also 25 Soma pills. Driver was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs, M/A and Possession of Marijuana, M/B.
