MCSO Press Release – Body Found – Willis (Updated) – Homicide – Denslow

The victim in the homicide at 5409 Lakeshore Drive in Willis, Texas, was identified by his fingerprints as Jerry Dean Denslow from Willis, Texas.

The missing 1992 Chevy p.u bearing TX LP 93BZX4 has been located this date at approximately 1 P.M.

This investigation continues and anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact Detective Paul Hahs at (936) 760-5800.

The DOA Investigation that was initiated on 07/26/08 at 5409 Lakeshore Drive in Willis, Texas has now been upgraded to a Homicide Investigation.

After completing an autopsy it has been determined that the still unidentified male victim died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Because the body was badly decomposed, positive identification is not possible at this time.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public in locating the brown 1992 Chevy P/U bearing TX. LP 93BZX4 that is missing from the residence.

The investigation continues and there are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information pertaining to this investigation can contact Detective Paul Hahs at 936-760-5800.

At approx. 1:00PM this date MCSO Patrol Officers were dispatched to 5409 Lakeshore Drive Willis,Texas in reference to a welfare check. A local realtor had arrived at the residence to check on the property which is listed for sale. Once inside the realtor located what he believed to be a dead body and called for assistance. A search warrant was obtained for the residence and an investigation initiated. The body appears to be that of an adult male. However, positive identification could not be made due to decomposition of the body. Judge Trey Spikes was contacted and ordered an autopsy to be performed. At the time of this release MCSO Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are still processing the scene. The name of the deceased male is being withheld pending positive identification. Witnesses at the scene advised that a vehicle that is normally at the residence is now missing. The investigation is ongoing.
