On August, 6, 2008 The Montgomery County Special Investigations Unit served two search warrants in the 14900 Block of Honey Hill, Willis, Texas. The SIU had received TIPS that narcotics were being sold from these locations. Both residences were located on the same property.
The SIU established probable cause for the warrants which were issued by Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarty. The search led to the seizure of 30.0 grams of ICE methamphetamine, less than an ounce of marijuana, $4100.00 in cash, drug paraphernalia, scales, and other drug related items. There was also a 9mm pistol recovered that had been reported stolen from Lake Charles, LA.
An eight (8) year old child was removed from the residence by Child Protective Services who responded to the scene after being contacted by the SIU.
