On August 6 , 2008, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation of a burglary, where a residence in the Walnut Cove subdivision had been burglarized. The value of the stolen property was approximately $3000.00. Information gathered by MCSO Property Division Detectives working in conjunction with the MCSO Auto Theft Task Force (ATTF) lead to two residences in the Walnut Cove subdivision where the property was recovered. A firearm and two 4 wheelers were also among the items recovered.

Robert Eugene Walton w/m 32 yoa
Felony Theft
Cory James Neuert w/m 24 yoa
Misdemeanor Theft.
All suspects were taken to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
