The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) – At approximately 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning, a Jeep Wrangler drove into a house at the corner of Ellwood and North Millbend Drive in The Woodlands, Texas.
It appears the vehicle failed to properly negotiate a right-hand or a left-hand turn at the intersection, sending the vehicle across a ditch and through some small trees, before hitting the house.The driver of the vehicle, Lindsey Stover, a 21 year-old female, was taken into custody by Texas Department of Public Safety personnel after failing a field sobriety test. She was charged with DWI and possession of an open alcohol container.
A whiskey flask was found inside the vehicle and witnesses on-scene reported smelling alcohol soon after the accident. Despite a small tree piercing the windshield of the vehicle, she was not injured during the incident.
The homeowner was sitting in a chair reading a newspaper when the vehicle entered the house. She was knocked out of the chair onto the floor but did not suffer any injuries.
