Important INFORMATION to DEBRIS MANAGEMENT

The debris vendors will not pick up bagged debris. Only loose debris will be collected.

The Debris Management Plan could begin as early as tomorrow, Friday, September 19, 2008.

Montgomery County residents are asked to place any storm-generated debris on the public right-of-way. All hurricane debris must be loose and visible. The debris vendors will not pick-up limbs, leaves, brush, or other items that are bagged.

Household garbage should be kept separate from the hurricane debris and will be picked-up by the normal service provider and subject to their normal requirements.

Vegetation debris such as woody burnable debris such as limbs and shrubbery should be placed on the curb. There is no need for bundling or strapping. Bagged debris should not be placed on the public right-of-way. ONLY LOOSE DEBRIS WILL BE COLLECTED.
