Less than 24 hours after the commission of the crime, Shenandoah Detectives arrested Randy Anderson, a 45 year old male from Spring, in connection with the unarmed robbery of a female standing in the parking lot of Main Event on Sunday night. Anderson was taken into custody for an outstanding parole violation. Robbery charges are currently pending.
Following up on leads generated at the time of the robbery, SPD Detective Raymond Shaw tracked Anderson to a motel in the Houston area early this morning. Anderson clearly matched the physical description of the suspect and a check of his name revealed the outstanding warrant for his arrest. Anderson was taken into custody peacefully and confessed to his involvement in the crime. As of this afternoon, Randy Anderson is being held in the Montgomery County Jail pending a probable cause hearing and bail decision.
Robbery is a second degree felony, which carries imprisonment for up to 20 years and a $10,000.00 fine.
