District 1 – Lt. Darrel Conn (North County)
On 12/15/08 Deputy Rodriguez was dispatched to the 12,600 block of Moon Road, in Willis, in reference to a theft past. The complainant advised that one of her employees received a phone call from a person saying he was a Sheriff’s Deputy and one of the owners of the business had been in an accident. The “deputy” told the employee to dial *72 and an unknown phone number to get all the information on the accident, which they did. When the complainant called her business and realized what had happened, she called Verizon and was told to hit *73 to remove the call forwarding that had been placed on the work phone. This case has been referred to Detectives for further investigation.
On 12/17/08 Corporal Bonner was dispatched to Lake Vista Drive, in Willis, in reference to Telephone Harassment. The complainant received a letter in the mail, without a return address. It was a letter from Standart Trust (Nova Scotia) stating he had won $250,000 and it gave a contact name and number. Along with the letter was the enclosed check drawn on a bank in Saint Paul, MN. Realizing this was a scam, the complainant reported it to the postmaster inspector’s office. He also received a phone call from an unknown number and the party advised him he needed to cash the check and send them the money. The complainant advised the caller that he knew it was a scam and to stop calling him and the male caller advised he would stop calling if the complainant would send him $500. The complainant advised him he was not going to send any money and the male stated he would continue to call him. The complainant has received two more calls from the same person within the last several days. This case has been referred to Detectives for follow-up investigation.
On 12/19/08 Deputy Degner was working DWI Step when dispatch advised an Attempt to Locate on FM 1486 coming into Dobbin. An off duty Harris County Constable observed an erratic driver and followed him to a bar on FM 1486 and Old 105W, where he was handcuffed and waited for Deputy Degner’s arrival. Upon arrival, Deputy Degner performed sobriety tests on the driver, which he failed. The driver was taken to jail and referred to the District Attorney for prosecution.
District 2 – Lt. Andrew Eason (South County/Woodlands)
On 12/07/08 Dep. Veith was dispatched to a location on Blackjack Oak Place in reference to a Suspicious Vehicle. The vehicle was parked with no plates and the back window was broken out. The reportee stated that a man and a woman went down the bicycle path. In checking the area Dep. Veith observed a WM 26 on the bicycle path who took off running through the woods. Dep. Veith and Dep. Uber identified themselves and ordered the suspect to stop running. The suspect continued through the woods with deputies following. The suspect was seen throwing something into the woods before stopping. Upon searching the suspect incident to arrest, half of a blue colored pill was found on his person. A search of the area found an additional blue pill and 4 white pills. Dep. Veith contacted poison control, who identified the pills to be Carisprodol and Diazepan. The subject was taken into custody for Possession of Controlled Substance and Evading and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
On 12/15/08 at approximately 2150 hours Dep. Jobe was dispatched to an Assault in Progress at a business on Sawdust Road. Upon arrival Dep. Jobe met with the complainant who stated that the suspect (WM53) was inside the establishment and began cussing and causing a scene. The complainant asked the suspect to leave, that is when the suspect kicked him and struck him in the face splitting his lip. The subject was taken into custody for Assault and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
On 12/14/08 at approximately 0140 hours, Sgt. Jenkins, while on routine patrol in the Panther Creek Shopping Center, observed a suspicious vehicle sitting in the driveway of the Shell Station. The vehicle was running, without its headlights on and occupied by two males. They were parked directly across from the bank, where a customer was at the ATM. Due to several robberies in the area recently, Dep. Jenkins stopped the vehicle to make sure they were not going to attempt to rob the customer. Upon arrival of a second unit, they approached the vehicle and made contact with the occupants (WM 19 and WM17). When they driver rolled down the window the strong odor of burnt marijuana was coming out of the vehicle. During the course of their investigation Sgt. Jenkins and Cpl. Staggs found several zipper type bags containing marijuana, $306 cash, and a small digital scale. The suspects were taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.
District 3 – Lt. Jim Fleming (East County)
On December 15, Deputy C. Azwell was dispatched to the Porter Wal-Mart for a theft call. The Deputy met with the loss prevention officer who was detaining a female for shop lifting. The female left the store without paying for merchandise totaling $468.24. The 31 year old female from New Caney was arrested at 11:23am and taken to jail.
On December 16, Deputy C. Evans was sent to the 21100 block of Loop 494 for a disturbance in progress. The Deputy observed an intoxicated male on location that had been involved in the disturbance. The 40 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 2:48am and transported to jail.
On December 16, Deputy C. Turrentine was notified of a family violence assault call in the 25200 block of Bates. The Deputy met with a female complainant who advised she and her son had gotten into a verbal argument that turned physical. The male had grabbed his mother by the throat. She was able to get away and he left calling her vulgar names. The Deputy located the male shortly thereafter. The 32 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 7:13pm and transported to jail.
On December 16, Deputy A. Cross was sent to the 22800 block of Community Drive for a welfare concern. The Deputy met with a witness and an intoxicated male on location. The witness had observed the male operating a vehicle. The male stated he had taken lithium. The 43 year old male from Kingwood was arrested at 8:02pm, charged with DWI, and taken to jail.
On December 17, Deputy J. Walker was dispatched to the Porter Wal-Mart for a theft in progress. The Deputy met with the loss prevention officer who advised he had been observing a male taking items and concealing them inside his coat. The male also cut items open and cut wires to electronics equipment before taking the items. The male had gone behind a counter and took plastic bags and put items inside them. The male was stopped and detained. The total amount of merchandise taken was $657.97. The total damage to property was $300.00. The 21 year old male from Porter was arrested at 1:15am and after placing him in the patrol vehicle managed to kick out a window. The male was charged with the theft and two counts of criminal mischief and taken to jail.
On December 17, Deputy A. Cross met with Corporal K. Hayden who had attempted to stop a dirt bike occupied by two males in the 23700 block of FM 2090. The males fled and wrecked the dirt bike and took off on foot. It was learned the dirt bike was stolen out of Harris County. During a search of the area the male passenger was located and detained. The male driver was located a short time later. The 21 year old male passenger from Cleveland was arrested at 3:02pm and charged with evading on foot. The 21 year old male driver from Porter was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading with a vehicle and a burglary of a habitation warrant out of Montgomery County. Both were transported to jail.
On December 18, Deputy J. Walker was sent to the 23300 block of Gaines Lane for a trespassing in progress call. The Deputy met with a male complainant who advised a male was sleeping in his bed in his travel trailer and he did not know him. The Deputy attempted to wake the male who became belligerent toward the Deputy and attempted to hit the Deputy with his fist. The Deputy used an intermediate weapon in an attempt to control the male who resisted. A second Deputy also used an intermediate weapon and the Deputies were able to detain the male. The 21 year old male from Porter was arrested at 2:15am and transported to jail.
On December 19, Deputy C. Murray was notified of a motor vehicle accident in the 19200 block of Old Houston Road. The Deputy located a vehicle in a ditch with a male sitting next to it. The male admitted to being the driver and was found to be intoxicated. The 22 year old male from Atascocita was arrested for DWI at 1:52am and taken to jail.
On December 20, Deputy C. Murray was patrolling in the area of Loop 494 and Ford Road. The Deputy observed a motor vehicle accident at the intersection. A male passenger became verbally belligerent toward the Deputy. The male was found to be intoxicated. The 24 year old male from Splendora was arrested at 12:57am and transported to jail. The 24 year old male driver also from Splendora was arrested at 1:00am by Deputy R. Ashmore, charged with DWI, and taken to jail.
On December 20, Deputy G. Jackson was sent to the 16400 block of Tommy Smith Road in reference to an assault family violence call. The Deputy met with two females, a mother and daughter, who had each assaulted the other. Both females, 37 and 18 years of age, from Conroe, were arrested at 11:35pm and transported to jail.
On December 21, Deputy C. Azwell responded to a disturbance call in the 23600 block of Second Street in New Caney. The Deputy met with a female who advised she and a male companion had been arguing over money and drugs and that she would show the Deputy where the narcotics were inside the apartment. The Deputy located a baggy of marijuana which was removed from a dresser by the female. The 46 year old female and the 35 year old male, each from New Caney, were arrested at 9:21am, charged with possession of marijuana and transported to jail.
On December 21, Deputy K. Koonce was flagged down by a motorist, in the area of Ford Road and Parker Road, who advised she had observed a vehicle driving recklessly on Ford Road. The Deputy located the vehicle and after speaking with the male driver, observed him to be intoxicated. The 21 year old male from Porter was arrested at 4:24pm, charged with DWI, and taken to jail.
On December 21, Deputy C. Evans observed a vehicle traveling north on Loop 494 without headlights or tail lights on. The Deputy was able to stop the vehicle and found the driver to be intoxicated. The 25 year old male from Porter was arrested at 11:50pm, charged with DWI, and taken to jail.

A 31 year old male from The Woodlands was arrested at 11:10am, December 15. Deputy K. Pickerill met with a Humble P.D. officer who had the male detained for a driving while license invalid warrant out of Montgomery County. The male was taken to jail.
A 19 year old male from Dayton was arrested at 2:32pm, December 15, in the 1300 block of North Park Drive by Deputy A. Cross for a theft warrant out of Liberty County. The Deputy was assisting another law enforcement agency. The male was taken to jail.
A 33 year old female from New Caney was arrested at 1:13pm, December 17, in the 21100 block of Hwy 59 at Adult Probation, by Deputy R. Layman for a burglary of a habitation warrant out of Montgomery County. The female was on the fugitive warrant list. She was transported to jail.
A 34 year old female from Willis was arrested at 8:46pm, December 17, in the area of Fm 1485 and Vick Cemetery Road by Deputy R. Layman for a driving with license invalid warrant out of Montgomery County. The female was stopped on a traffic violation. She was transported to jail.
A 21 year old male from Porter was arrested at 2:16pm, December 19, in the 23300 block of FM 1314 by Deputy R. Layman for four traffic warrants out of JP 4 Montgomery County. The male was stopped on a traffic violation. He was taken to jail.
A 32 year old male from Porter was arrested at 2:30pm, December 19, in the area of FM 1314 and Dunn Street by Deputy J. Chapa for a burglary of a habitation warrant out of Harris County. The male was stopped on a traffic violation. He was taken to jail.
A 36 year old female from Porter was arrested at 3:17pm, December 19, in the 24500 block of Sorters Road by Deputy G. Harman for a civil failure to appear warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy received prior information on the location of the female. She was transported to jail.
A 49 year old male from Conroe was arrested at 1:15pm, December 20, in the 18000 block of Howard’s Way by Deputy R. Layman for an improper confinement warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call. The male was transported to jail.
A 54 year old male from New Caney was arrested at 6:11pm, December 20, in the 21100 block of Hwy 59 by Deputy S. Ortiz for two driving while license invalid warrants and two theft by check warrants all out of Montgomery County. The Deputy was investigating a disturbance call. The male was taken to jail.
A 22 year old male from Houston was arrested at 9:30pm, December 20, in the area of Hwy 59 and FM 1314 by Deputy J. Chapa for a harboring of a runaway child warrant and a fail to identify to a peace officer warrant each out of Harris County. The Deputy was investigating a runaway child call. The male was taken to jail.

District 5 – Lt. Don Lacy (Northwest County)
On 12-17-08 Deputy Garlock responded to the 19300 block of Hwy 105 W. in reference to a forgery call. It was determined that unknown suspects passed a fake $5.00 bill. The case was forwarded to detectives for follow up.
On 12-16-08 Deputy Farmer responded to the 16900 block of W. Hammon in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. During the investigation it was determined that a camera and cell phone were stolen from the vehicle. The vehicle was unsecured during the time frame the offense was committed. The case was forwarded to detectives for follow up.
On 12-16-08 Deputy Neeley responded to the 2100 block of Old Dobbin in reference to a criminal mischief call. The complainant found one of her horses lame and discovered that it had been shot. Several shell casings were recovered at the scene. The horse had to be put down and several bullets were recovered also. The case was forwarded to detectives for follow up.
On 12-19-08 Deputy Favorat responded to the 19300 Block of Highway 105 W in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. A camera and a Garmin GPS system were taken from the vehicle. Forced entry was made in the driver’s side door to gain access to the vehicle. The case was forwarded to Detectives for follow up.
On 12-19-08 Deputy R. Thompson responded to the 14600 block of Highway 105 to assist two detectives who were trying to take custody of a wanted juvenile. The juvenile was arrested on a warrant and several pills in her possession. Possession of Controlled substance was added and the juvenile was taken to Conroe Juvenile Center.
On 12-20-08 Sgt. Welch responded to the 19200 block of Mary Lane for a theft call. The complainant stated that $125 was stolen from his wallet. The case was forwarded to detectives for follow up.
On 12-21-08 Deputy Lennon responded to the 3000 block of Hemingway in reference to a burglary of a habitation call. During the investigation it was determined that a gun and a play station was stolen from the residence. The case was forwarded to detectives for follow up.
On 12-19-08 Deputy Howze responded to the 900 block of F.M 1486 S in reference to a burglary of a building. The suspects pulled the siding down on the side of the building and were able gain entry and remove items from a C.D. Jukebox. The case was forwarded to detectives for follow up.
