Hit and Run Leads to Arrests

The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor)

- Just after 7:00 a.m. Friday morning, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputy, David Everton, responded to a minor two vehicle accident at 2301 South Millbend Drive in The Woodlands, Texas. An elderly female claimed she was traveling east towards Grogan’s Mill when she was struck by a small passenger car exiting Village Square Apartments. The collision caused one of the vehicles to hit a curb and impact a small roadside sign. The offending vehicle fled the scene.

During the course of the investigation Everton located a license plate and soon thereafter located the fleeing vehicle in the Village Square Apartments’ parking lot.

Deputies traced the vehicles registration to a residence inside the apartment complex.

Deputies knocked on the door of the residence and to their surprise, an adult male answered. With the door open, a strong odor of marijuana emanated from the apartment.

While deputies were questioning the one resident, two more adult male residents arrived on-scene.

The residence was searched and all three males were taken into custody.

Arrested were:

Gotta ask here, Foz, why were the deputies surprised when an adult male answered the door?

Maybe it’s just poorly written, but I don’t think that’s reason for surprise.

    Welcome to the site BlkMagistr.

Poorly written may be the correct answer….they were surprised because the suspect actually answered the door, not because he was an adult male :-)
