The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) – Saturday morning, a mother and daughter were the victims of an attempted aggravated robbery in the parking lot of The Woodlands Mall just outside of Macy’s department store.
According to Detective Paul Hahs of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, two males, a 16 year-old juvenile and a 18 year-old adult male, pulled a shotgun on two females demanding their purses.The older of the two females apparently thought the boys were “playing around” and walked into Macy’s. The younger female took the threat seriously and dialed 911 on her cell phone.
The suspects drove off but stayed in the mall area.
They were located on the opposite end of the mall by Montgomery County Sheriff’s Officers and taken into custody.
A shotgun was still in the vehicle when the suspects were detained along with other electronic items and clothing including a roll of paper towels used to obscure the license plate on both the front and back of their GMC pickup.
Law enforcement officials believe these two suspects are also responsible for several similar robberies in the Conroe area earlier the same morning.
