On January 24, 2009 Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division (Town Center) responded to an aggravated robbery call outside the Macy’s store at The Woodlands Mall.
Upon arrival, the Victim advised that she was approached by two white males wearing full face masks in a blue colored GMC extended cab pick up truck with a black driver side door. The male in the passenger side of the truck pointed a shotgun out of the window at her and demanded her purse and when the victim refused, the male stated that he would “shoot her” if she did not comply.
The victim again refused and the suspects drove away without obtaining the victim’s purse. The victim notified Macy’s employees who quickly notified MCSO Dispatch. Units responding to the call observed the vehicle in the mall parking lot near Dillard’s and conducted a felony stop on the vehicle, removing the occupants.
Deputies discovered the shotgun, masks worn by the suspects, and property belonging to victims from three earlier robberies committed in the City of Conroe.
The males were interviewed by Detectives from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, and the Conroe Police Department, and confessed to all four robberies.
18 year old Chase Ray Stott and a 16 year old Hispanic male were arrested for four counts of Aggravated Robbery, and transported to jail.
