MCSO Press Release – Theft, Burglary – Cress

In late January, 2009, MCSO East County Detectives and Auto Theft Task Force Detectives launched a joint investigation into a series of commercial burglaries and vehicle thefts that were believed to be related. At one of the burglaries a stolen vehicle was recovered. The investigation developed James Blair Cress as a suspect.

On February 12, 2009, Deputies from the Montgomery County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office, found Cress operating a stolen vehicle and took him into custody with the assistance of MCSO Patrol Deputies.

Cress has cooperated with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and has been linked to five burglaries and several stolen vehicles.

The investigation is continuing.

Arrested: James Blair Cress: W/M DOB: 4/16/79 and he is from the Conroe Area.
