The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) – Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m., a witness, who wishes to remain anonymous, watched as the soon-to-be robbery suspect entered the Chase Bank building in the Alden Bridge Shopping Center in The Woodlands, Texas.
A short time later the witness entered the bank himself and saw the suspect with a gun in his hand. The witness stated, “I walked in through the second door…there was a gentleman with a firearm…I left the bank.”The witness retreated to his vehicle and moments later viewed the suspect as the suspect exited the building and headed north on foot.
A press release issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office included three surveillance stills of the incident. The press release stated, “a white male, in his 20’s or 30’s entered the bank wearing sunglasses, hat, camo clothing and boots. The male then displayed a firearm and demanded money from the clerk.”
Detectives and deputies searched wooded areas north of the intersection of Kuykendahl Road and Crownridge Drive.
It maybe too early to determine, but there could be some similarities between this bank robbery and another bank robbery which occurred in the area last week.
No one was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
