DRIVER DELIVERING MORE THAN PIZZA
Around 7:00pm on Saturday night, 3/7/09, Shenandoah Officer Troye Dunlap responded to the Oakhaven Apartments located at 19441 David Memorial Drive in response to the call of a reckless driver. It was reported that a pizza delivery vehicle was driving erratically through the complex, almost hitting people as they walked through the parking lot.
Officer Dunlap located the driver and identified her as 25 year old Tiffany Ann Marx of The Woodlands. While speaking with Ms. Marx, Officer Dunlap noticed the strong and distinctive odor of marijuana which led to the vehicle being searched. Located inside the vehicle were nearly 4 and ½ pounds of marijuana and 11 grams of cocaine.
Ms. Marx was transported to the Montgomery County on two felony charges of drug possession.
STOP OF SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE RESULTS IN THREE THIEVES ARRESTED
While patrolling the parking areas of local Shenandoah hotels just after 2:00am on Monday morning, 3/9/09, Officer Barry Gresham observed a vehicle drive suspiciously through the Towne Place Suites parking lot with its lights off and then onto the service road at Vision Park and IH-45 South. A check of the vehicle’s license plate revealed that the registration was expired and it was subsequently stopped.
Officer Gresham was concerned by the fact that the three males riding inside the vehicle had burglary tools in their possession at 2:00am in an area chock-full of unattended vehicles. After other officers observed two vehicles broken into in the area that the males had just left, it was discovered that these very same males were also in possession of property from those vehicles.
The property was returned to its rightful owners and the three thieves from Houston identified as 26 year old Raymond Strahan Jr., 21 year old Kendrick Thomas, and 19 year old Brandon Gibson, were transported to the Montgomery County Jail. All three have been charged with possession of stolen property and burglary of a motor vehicle, both of which are Class A Misdemeanors.
