On Wednesday, March 12, 2009, The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit joined forces with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division Magnolia Office, District 4 Patrol Division, Precinct 5 Constables Office, and the Texas Alcohol and Beverage commission, to investigate citizen’s complaints of narcotics trafficking and prostitution being conducted @ 9035 Carraway Lane, Magnolia, Montgomery County, Texas.
This location is licensed by the TABC as the Las Pollitas Bar.
During the investigation vehicles were observed parking @ the bar, the occupant enter and departing the bar a short while later which was consistent with the crimes stopper and citizen complaints regarding heavy short term vehicle traffic @ the suspect location.
During this investigation a Hispanic male was arrested for possession of a controlled substance / cocaine. This was discovered in his pants pocket along with approximately $1000.00 in Us Currency. Additional cocaine and a pistol were discovered near the arrested suspect. The suspect claimed ownership of the cocaine but not the pistol.
The cocaine was packaged for sale in numerous small zip lock bags with a combined weight of 23. 8 grams.
The suspect was placed in the Montgomery County Jail.
