Richard Prieto
On 03-24-2009, Detectives from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrested Richard Brent Prieto (Dob: 03-10-1985), of The Woodlands, in connection with at least two (2) of the recent bank robberies that have occurred in The Woodlands area of South Montgomery County.
After a lengthy investigation and eyewitness identification, Prieto was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop late yesterday afternoon. Prieto is believed to be responsible for the robberies that occurred on 02-11-2009, at the Wachovia Bank located in the 10000 Blk of Woodlands Parkway and the robbery that occurred on 02-20-2009, at the Chase Bank located at 8201 Kuykendahl.
It is not known at this time if he is connected to other robberies that have recently occurred.
This investigation is ongoing by detectives from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and no further information will be released at this time due to the ongoing investigations.

Prieto is being held in the Montgomery County Jail at this time and no bond has been set at the time of this press release and he has been charged with two (2) counts of aggravated robbery.
