Recently, a group of citizens asked for illegal alien arrest records from city police departments in Montgomery County — Conroe, Magnolia, Oak Ridge North, Shenandoah, Willis. The typical police department response was that no such arrest records exist, since all arrested illegal aliens are transported directly to the Montgomery County Jail.
The response from the City of Conroe was rather evasive, possibly to hide the fact that Conroe is effectively a sanctuary city. (See the Conroe Day Labor Site documents) By ignoring our immigration laws and accommodating criminal behavior, the City of Conroe is showing its contempt for all law-abiding citizens of Montgomery County. Note that the Texas Ethics Commission is currently investigating the Conroe Police Officers Association and some members of the Conroe City Council for violations of state election laws.
Since city police departments send all arrested aliens to the county jail, we asked Sheriff Tommy Gage for the 2008 records of illegal alien transfers to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the federal agency responsible for deportation. Initially, County Attorney David Walker informed us that the cost of providing such information would be $75,832.20… that’s right, $75,832.20. After an appeal to the Texas Attorney General, the records shown on this website were finally released by Mr. Walker and Sheriff Gage.
While this information is embarrassing to his department, Sheriff Gage should understand that the citizens own these illegal immigration records, bought and paid for with our taxes. The sheriff wants to protect his reputation; we want to protect our lives and property. Illegal aliens undermine our laws, overload our schools, hospitals, and jails, steal our tax dollars, and put all of us, especially police officers, in harm’s way. The sheriff knows that in Harris County illegal aliens are murdering not only private citizens, but police officers as well.
Specifically, we asked the sheriff for a “copy of all records relating to the custody transfer of prisoners from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)” for the year 2008. The public information released by the sheriff is of two types. One document type is an “Immigration Detainer” from ICE identifying a prisoner as an alien; the other document type is an “Inmate Release Card” showing the actual custody transfer of an alien to ICE. For the year 2008, the released records contain 507 immigration detainers and only 33 ICE transfers. This website contains all of the custody transfer records released by the sheriff.
In theory, after arriving at the county jail, an illegalalien suspect is reported to ICE. (Remember that the alien was arrested for a crime other than his illegal entry into this country.) ICE then puts a hold on the illegal alien with an “Immigration Detainer”. The alien is later picked up by ICE for deportation… in theory.
However, as the chart below shows, the true story is much different. The “arrested” column has the number of illegal aliens arrested and identified by ICE with an “Immigration Detainer”. The “transferred” column has the number transferred to ICE, according to the sheriff’s records. The number of illegal aliens “deported” is unknown, Kevin Brady has been evasive and unwilling to release any statistics for the “deported” column. (We need a representative who gives a damn about this issue. Give Mr. Brady a call at 202-225-4901, and tell him to stop sitting on his hands over the illegal immigration issue.)
Here is the monthly breakdown of illegal alien arrests and transfers to ICE for the year 2008. While the majority of illegal alien criminals come from Central America (Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua), you should note that criminals from Tanzania, Cuba, Canada, Argentina, Columbia, Philippines, Poland, Russia, Uganda, and Lebanon are also committing serious crimes in Montgomery County.

These statistics show a disturbing trend. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are doing a very poor job of protecting our families from illegal alien criminals. Sheriff Tommy Gage, U.S. Rep. Kevin Brady, and ICE are running an illegal alien merry-go-round in Montgomery County. We deserve better and we demand better. Give these public officials a phone call, or send an email. Tell them you want our laws enforced… now.

After a patriot has painstakingly extracted public records from public officials, note that the vast majority of the transfer records do not mention the charge?
In actual fact nobody knows how much crime illegal aliens are committing but, besides the fact that it is a LOT, every single crime should have never committed if the GOVT was doing their job.
