The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) – A robbery occurred Monday morning at approximately 10:35 a.m. at the Compass Bank located in the 4800 block of Research Forest Drive in The Woodlands, Texas.
It appears a 5′ 10″ male entered the bank and displayed a gun while demanding money from bank personnel.
The suspect left the bank with an unknown amount of money.
According to a Montgomery County Sheriff’s press release, the suspect was a white male wearing a black wig, sunglasses, blue and white shirt and tan pants.
Witnesses claim they saw the suspect get into an Ford F-250 Econoline van and head south on Gosling Road.
A bank robbery suspect donning a wig is similar to other recent robberies in the area.
In March of this year Richard Prieto was charged with two previous Woodlands’ bank robberies, the February 11, 2009 robbery of Wachovia Bank in the 10,000 block of Woodlands Parkway as well as the February 20, 2009 robbery of the Chase Bank in the 8000 block of Kuykendahl Road.
No injuries were reported.
