MCSO Press Release – Attempted Abduction – Woodlands – UPDATED

Artist RenderingOn 05/26/09 at about 3:00pm a 18 year old white female was approached by a bald black male in the parking lot of the Grogan’s Mill Shopping Center in The Woodlands. The male asked the female to get into the truck and she refused. The male then told her he knew where she lives and she should get in so he can take her home and she still refused. The female ran from the male and entered a grocery store in the shopping center.

During follow up investigation the complainant said she saw the vehicle the next evening in the parking lot and was able to see that it was a Porche SUV but could not read the plate.

On the same date a second complainant was approached about a block away from this location and the black male asked if she was skipping school. The female ignored him and he left the area.

Suspect Description:

Black Male in his 30s with a shaved head and clean shaven face. He was estimated at 5′08″ and 200 pounds and muscular. There is no other information at this time.

This morning an 18 year-old high school student reported to school authorities that on May 26, 2009, at around 3:00 PM as she got off her school bus at Grogan’s Mill and South Millbend in South Montgomery County, she saw a black male parked nearby in a black SUV. The girl told authorities that the black male told her to get into his car. The girl refused and ran to the nearby grocery store. The black male drove away. No one was injured.

The girl told authorities that she has seen the man and vehicle in the same area in the past. The girl described the driver as a black/male, 30’s, bald, 5′8″, and 200 pounds wearing a stripped shirt.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office working cooperatively with the Conroe Independent School District Police Department has initiated an investigation and anyone with information should call the MCSO Detective Division at 936-760-5876.
