Aggravated Robbery
Woodlands Mall
On July 6, 2009, around 8 PM, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the Woodlands Mall reference to an aggravated robbery report. Deputies learned that two juvenile males had been robbed at gunpoint of their money in the parking lot of the Woodlands Mall by three (3) black male suspects.
The juvenile victims notified mall security and were able to provide a description of the suspect’s vehicle and the license plate number. As the victims were locating mall security the suspect vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation by deputies on Lake Woodlands Drive. During the traffic stop 17 year old Terron Jamal Johnson of Conroe was taken into custody for possession of a prohibited weapon (knuckles). The two other occupants were released.
When the robbery incident was reported to the Sheriff’s Office Communications Office and the description of the suspects and vehicle where broadcast to the patrol area, the suspect vehicle that had just been released was located and stopped at the Chevron gas station at the intersection of I45 and Tamina Road by an Oak Ridge Police Officer. A handgun was found inside the vehicle. The two occupants of the car 18 year old Arthur Desean Howard of Willis and a 16 year old male from Houston were placed into custody.
The three suspects were charged with aggravated robbery; however, the charge of possession of a prohibited weapon was not accepted by the District Attorney’s Office.
