On 07-10-09, approximately 9:40 pm, Conroe Police Officers responded to the 5900 Block of West Davis (Hwy. 105 west) in reference to a reported motor vehicle crash with a possible fatality. Upon arrival officers learned a 2003 Ford F150 pickup traveling eastbound crossed into the westbound lanes of traffic and struck a 2005 Ford Freestar Van.
The driver of Freestar Van was pronounced dead at the scene by Montgomery County Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Lanny Moriarity. The driver of the Ford F150 was transported by air ambulance to Hermann Hospital in Houston. Names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
