Montgomery County Monitor Launches Revamped Web-Site

New Site Launched

New Site Launched

Welcome all to our revamped site :-)

Today is the launch of the Beta version of our new site.  We have completely redesigned the entire site while trying to retain some of the site’s most popular features.

We hope the site is easier to navigate and more pleasing to the eyes.

During the month of August work on the redesign of the site interfered with our ability to gather content from the field.  With the launch of the new site we hope to provide more original content both from the field and in the form of public documents.  Also, in the days leading up to the new site launch, we were forced to lock down the forums as well as site registration.  On the relaunched site, both user registration and the forums have been reopened.

However, we need your help in locating any remaining bugs.  It is very important for users of the site to report any issues and/or bugs they may find.  We would also like to hear any general feedback and will also field questions about how to use some of the new elements of the site.  As we interact with our site users we will build a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list and provide additional information as necessary.

We have created a topic in the forum in which site users can post bugs, questions, comments and suggestions.  Please use the forum topic for all communications regarding site operation.

Also, those who were registered members of the old site should be automatically registered on the new site.

Click HERE to report bugs, make comments or ask questions.

No Registration required to post.

Thanks

Foz

I’m a newcomer to the site which I find informative but lacking an important facet to give it credibility, a statement of purpose along with names of those providing site management.
    Thanks dc

  4. Justlooking says:

Credibility? How would either of your two “suggestions” add credibility? This is the most credible site ever! What other community news site publishes the actual documents that back up everything written about or lets the public listen to the whole county’s law enforcement and fire calls as they happen? I would think if everything weren’t credible on this site that would be posted also since the public is invited to post public info important to them. How many people search out managements names in order to give credibility to the Houston Chronicle and the info printed there? I don’t think management names are needed for credibility….but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
And my opinion is that your comment is just out-of-kilter enough to make me think that maybe it’s coming from someone who has a “hidden agenda” about wanting those names. Lookout management!

  5. John Ramos says:

I do not need names when there is facts, if you google search fox news and new caney i.s.d and look at stories on gene gregory who still sits on schoolboard after pleading guilty to felony and thus began ongoing situation with ( former superintendent ) rick cowan, this website listed the facts on thing pertaining to the district. There are people who just do not see theirselves as criminals even when they are.

  6. Jack handy says:

I HAVE ONE WORD FOR RICK COWAN, GOTCHA
