On 09/13/09 at 5:30 PM, Woodlands patrol deputies were dispatched to the area of Canyon Oak and Gambrel Oak regarding a suspicious vehicle. Deputies learned that a nine year old boy was riding his bike in the neighborhood and saw a blue pick-up truck at the intersection.

The occupant of the truck, later identified as, Strnad, Jason Tate DOB 08/02/72, rolled down a window in the vehicle and offered the child candy. The victim told deputies that Strnad exited the vehicle and approached him. The young boy left, riding his bike home and told his mother.

Deputy Veith located the vehicle in the driveway of a home approximately one block away. Strnad was identified by the young victim as the man that had approached him.

Strnad was arrested and charged with enticing a child, a class “B” misdemeanor. The home where Strnad was arrested was his residence.

    Re “Inticement of a Child”

If one of my students turned in homework with “Inticement” in the title, that student would fail the assignment. How about the editor of a newspaper article?

    Hiya Paul

Thanks for catching that for us.

    It has been corrected.

Be sure to post any other errors you may find :-)
