On Tuesday, October 21, 2009, patrol deputies assigned to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit conducted an investigation at the Flying J Truck Stop located in the 23400 block of State Highway 242 in East Montgomery County, Texas.
The deputies found an 18 wheeler truck parked in the common area of the business. The deputies observed the vehicle displayed expired registration and inspection certificates. Using a Narcotics Canine the investigation led to the seizure of approximately 3300 pounds of marijuana. The contraband was discovered hidden under fruit and vegetable boxes in the trailer.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is on-going.
