Would it make any difference to the ethics committee’s final $500 fine if they knew to begin with that Commissioner Chance’s son-in-law, Raymond G. Duroy is the owner/president/ceo of Optimum Computer, OCS, Inc. AND OptiQuest Internet Services (where Mr. Chance claims to have paid $2784.80 in campaign funds for a computer and printer!)

And if they knew that Commissioner Chance’s son, Eddy Chance is EMPLOYED at Duroy’s businesses do you think the ethics commission would look at all the county business given to those three companies as a “conflict of interest” for Mr. Chance? Sure helps to have daddy give your hubby work and contracts from the county entities, eh? Take a look at the only conflict disclosure listed on the county’s website and you will see that Commissioner Chance has said NOT ONE WORD about his son being employed by Duroy. And maybe someone should look into the “out of the ordinary” land deal given to Duroy on property next to Commissioner Chance’s headquarters down near the end of Budde Road. Nice deal if you can get it.
Can anyone say, “good ole boys”??
