cpdbadge_square_1VEHICLE PURSUIT

On 12-30-09, approximately 3:55 pm, Conroe Police officers assisted the Oak Ridge Police Department and other law enforcement agencies in a pursuit that entered the City of Conroe.

Initial information indicated that Oak Ridge Police officers had attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white Honda Accord and that the driver of the Accord failed to stop.  A pursuit was initiated and the pursuit came into the City of Conroe.  Details regarding the original violation(s) involved and pursuit prior to entering the City of Conroe should be confirmed through the Oak Ridge Police Department.

The pursuit traveled northbound on South Frazier Street, then northbound on N. Main, then northbound on N. Pacific Street to North Thompson Street.  Upon entering the intersection of N. Thompson Street at Woodsway, the Accord struck a legally parked and unoccupied mail delivery truck and veered off the roadway and struck an oak tree in an adjacent yard.

The Accord was occupied by three persons.  As a result of injuries sustained in the accident, two occupants were transported to Conroe Regional Medical Center and one was transported to Memorial Hermann Woodlands for medical treatment.

  1. mdonn76405 says:

Why was a Woodlands unit in that pursuit? ORN headed into Conroe, with regular SO. I have a problem with that.

  2. sneeky says:

We were almost hit by both the Honda and the OR units coming off of 45 on to Frazier – on OR Unit – went up over the curb and into on coming traffic that was heading east on 336 – had it not been for diligent safe drivers there would’ve been a major accident there – and there almost was an accident twice – then the other 4 units that followed we not safe when they came through traffic and that light there at 336 Loop either
