South Montgomery County – The Woodlands
Today at approximately 1:45 PM deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to meet with a 38 year old female victim. The victim told deputies that she was returning to work at the Woodlands Mall and after parking her car on the south side of the mall near the Dillard’s Department Store was robbed at gunpoint.
The victim told deputies that after parking and getting out of her car, she was approached from behind by a black male wearing all black. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim who demanded her car keys and telephone. The victim complied then ran into the mall. The victim was not injured and deputies learned that the victim had just left a nearby bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect took the victim’s car, a silver Volkswagen Jetta, which had a money bag from the bank and the victim’s purse still inside.
The suspect has not been identified or arrested and the stolen car has not been found.
It is believed that the suspect approached the victim after exiting a black Mitsubishi Montero SUV.
