On January 10, 2010, approximately 2:00 am, Conroe Police officers responded to an alarm at Camillo’s Fine Jewelry, located at 2107 W. Davis Street in Conroe.
Arriving officers were stationed and the front and rear of the building. As officers began checking the back of the business, the door opened and two male subjects ran out of the building. The officers gave chase and captured the suspects approximately 100 yards from the building. Officers also located a third suspect near the rear of the building.
Further investigation revealed that two of the suspects climbed a ladder to gain access to the roof of the building and then cut a hole in the roof of the business to gain access to the jewelry store. The third suspect was believed to be the lookout and was responsible for disabling the alarm system. The alarm was apparently not disarmed as the alarm company notified police of the apparent burglary.
A fourth suspect was located less than a quarter mile from the location of the jewelry store. The fourth suspect was believed to be the getaway driver. The driver was found sleeping in a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. Evidence at the scene and inside the suspect vehicle connected the driver to the three suspects located at the jewelry store.
All four suspects were from the Houston area. The suspects were identified as:
Alberto Carlos Escobar 03-28-69
William Renee Vasquez 06-19-80
Christian Javier Ramos 09-05-84
