Early Morning Vehicle Fire May Be Arson

The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) - Just after 12:30 a.m. Monday morning, The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a car fire on West Misty Morning Trace near Lake Woodlands Drive in The Woodlands, Texas.   Firefighters arrived on scene and found a late model C300 Mercedes-Benz fully engulfed in flames.  Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

The vehicle was parked on the street in front of a home at the time of the fire.

Randy Schaff was inside the home when he heard a car alarm.  Schaff said, “[I] looked outside and the car was in flames.”

Vehicle Arson - Woodlands_3Schaff believes the fire was set intentionally and he also believes he may know the suspects.  Schaff also said he heard a vehicle in the area just before the car alarm sounded.

The Montgomery County Fire Marshals Office is investigating this incident.
