On 01-12-2010, Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit in conjunction with Montgomery County Sheriff’s Dept. S.W.A.T. Team and the United States Marshalls Office arrested the second suspect in the Home Invasion Style Robbery from 01-05-2010 on Gate Hill Drive in The Woodlands.

Thomas is the second suspect arrested in this case and is believed to be the only other actor in this robbery. Thomas was arrested in South Houston and is currently being held there on unrelated charges. Detectives are continuing their investigation.

Aggravated Robbery
The Woodlands, Texas

At approximately noon today, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on Gate Hill Drive in The Woodlands, Texas from a victim who reported that he had just been robbed at his home by two individuals.

The 24 year-old victim called 911 today around noon reporting that two black males, one of whom appeared to be dressed as a police officer, knocked on his door and when he opened it, was threaten with a gun, restrained, struck on the head with a gun and robbed. The victim reported that the suspects had stolen his car. The victim sustained only minor injuries.

The victim was able to provide the 911 operator and Sheriff’s Office dispatcher with a direction of travel and a description of one of the suspects. The suspect was wearing a light blue shirt, black jacket, black pants and a badge on the shirt. Currently there is not a confirmed description of the second vehicle.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Rudy Almendarez spotted the stolen vehicle traveling south on IH45 near Rayford Road. The stolen vehicle was chased by Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Oak Ridge North Police officers south on the Hardy Toll Road. The Harris County Constable’s Office Pct 4 deputies disabled the vehicle using spike strips and the suspect loss control of the car on Richie Road. The driver fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.

Several converging law enforcement agencies isolated the area and tracking dogs from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect. The suspect was dressed in a security guard uniform. The second suspect has not been identified or arrested.
