Robbery – Burglary of a Habitation – Arrest
In the early morning hours of January 18, 2010, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies were on Sawdust Road conducting a follow-up investigation when a vehicle stopped and the occupants reported that they had been following a vehicle in which the occupants had robbed them.
Deputies learned that as the victim was returning to his home on Woodhollow Dr. a little after 2 AM, when he and his friend saw a suspect taking speakers out of a truck that was parked in the garage. To gain access to the vehicle the suspects had entered the garage through the home. The victim tried to detain the suspect as the suspect was getting into a getaway vehicle, but was punched and drug down the roadway. The victim was not seriously injured.
The victim and his friend followed the suspects alerting deputies and providing a license plate. Deputies spoke to the owner of the vehicle in Harris County who was not aware that his vehicle had been stolen.
While the investigation was on-going, the stolen vehicle was found burning on Old Riley Fuzzel Road. Deputies noticed and followed gouges in the mud leading from the stolen vehicle out onto the roadway to a residence on Riley Fuzzel Road.
Two suspects were found in the home and arrested.
