Original Press Release
February 4, 2010, at approximately 10:45 AM a women was robbed in the parking lot of The Woodlands Mall and was shot in the leg.
Deputies responded to 911 calls from the north side of the Woodlands Mall near J. C. Penny’s at approximated 10:45 AM this morning involving a young woman who was shot in the leg by a suspect who tried to steal her car.
Deputy Dax Bayer arrived about one minute after the dispatcher broadcast the incident and was able to gather good accurate information from witnesses about the suspect’s description and the direction in which he fled. He was an African male? Not American? Also, it is “woman” (singular), not “women” (plural).
its about time the cops did there job they never catch anyone anymore all they do is sit at bars at night and watch everyone and hang all over the woman
According to the census for the Woodlands:
African Americans make up only 1.75% (975) of the population . I agree the census is old but lets just say for statistics the numbers are correct. Why is it that with only 975 Blacks and 49,000 whites and other races that a very large majority of the crimes in the woodlands are committed by Blacks? I encourage everyone to call the police when they see a black person in The Woodlands and report it as Suspicious Activity as you might be the next one shot. Did you know that more Black men are in jail then in college? Just stating the facts
The “horseback security” force mentioned during the interview, is perhaps a warm and fuzzy photo op with your kid but totally useless otherwise. On a couple of occassions I have even reported problems to on-duty equine patrolers with no response forthcoming. Better off having a bunch of “Paul Blart Mall Cops” riding around the parking areas.
