MCSO Press Release – Counterfeit Cash – New Caney

sopatch5On February 5, 2010, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Domino’s Pizza in New Caney, Texas, that one of their drivers had received two counterfeit twenty dollar bills in payment. Detectives from the CID Property squad were sent to a location in the 25000 block of Twin Oaks Drive to investigate. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Taya Thedford W/F, 25 YOA.

A search of the residence resulted in the recovery of additional counterfeit

U.S. currency along with a printer and computer believed to have been used to print the fake money.

The U.S. Secret Service is participating in the ongoing investigation.
