Homicide Investigation
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office joined with the Fire Marshall’s Office in the investigation of the death of the man whose body was found inside a home after an early morning fire on February 1, 2010.
Initial callers reported to 911 that the home on West Creek Drive off of Blake Road was heavily involved in fire. Firefighters found one person deceased in the home after the fire was brought under control. During the autopsy it was determined that the victim died as the result of gunshot wounds to the head and an investigation into the death of 55 year old Michael Fred Gloede has been underway.
Throughout the week investigators with both the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Crime Lab and the Fire Marshall’s Office have combed through evidence and interviewed witnesses. Last night 18 year old Keith Ryan Randall (2-6-1991) and a 15 year old girl were taken into custody and charged with murder; both are students in the Conroe Independent School District.
While an arrest has been made the investigation is still continuing and the motive of this crime is still under investigation.
The cooperation between the two agencies was instrumental in the successful outcome of this crime.
