“The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office strives to be a community leader on issues of safety, professionalism and integrity. Upon taking office, District Attorney Brett Ligon advised all employees that a strict code of personal conduct would be enforced. Specifically, as part of the office’s stance against drinking and driving, all employees were advised that when making a decision to drive after consuming alcohol to take alternative means of transportation or utilize a designated driver when necessary.
In his professional capacity as an assistant district attorney, Morgan Bourque was an exemplary employee, hard working and ethical. However his personal conduct on Thursday February 26, 2010 is inconsistent with the afore mentioned expectations. Therefore after reviewing the incident in its entirety, Mr. Bourque’s resignation was accepted, effective immediately.”

This is what this county needs…..a public official not afraid to do their job. Good goin, Mr. Ligon. The public needs more leaders who mean what they say and prove it when the chips are down.

good call jasonhtx. the brett ligon coolaid drinkers are blind to the fact that ligon is fast tracking montgomery county legal system, to look like houston’s. overrun with small posetion charges, dwi’s, and other minor offence’s. why the hell do you think houston got rid of him, he didnt leave they voted his ass out. using twitter to make national news, claiming to deter dwi’s by embarrassing them. what a joke. what happened to innocent until proven guilty? about 50% of the people who were listed, who fight the charge will be found not guilty. i for one, hope one of thease people will sue the piss out of ligon for liable, and montgomery county can finaly flush the stanky terd that we all refer to as da brett ligon. peace out
dwi,
Ligon was not an elected official in Houston.
He was the legal counsel for HPOA.
