Theft of Copper Arrest
West Montgomery County
Patrol Deputy Nick Zavorski spotted wiring that had been cut from telephone poles lying on the ground and saw several suspects in the woods.
Last night just after midnight patrol Deputy Zavorski saw telephone cable hanging down from poles onto the ground near FM 149 and Adams Ln. The deputy spotted several people hiding in the woods near where the wiring had been pulled down.
The deputy gave chase and found one person hiding in the woods who surrendered peacefully when discovered. Various cutting tools were found in the area.
The Sheriff’s Office is conducting a follow-up investigation to determine if other suspects can be identified.
The suspect was arrested and charged with Theft of Copper a state jail felony.

Yep, and they will post a bond, get released and another warrant will have to be issued for their arrest. Same old, same old for Montgomery County. It is all about money.
