On 03/22/10 at approx 0139 hours Deputy Swank observed a vehicle leaving a business located on Rayford Rd. While following the vehicle the deputy found that the vehicle was reported stolen. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop south bound on IH 45.
After activating emergency equipment the suspect vehicle increased speed and fled south into Harris County but the deputy lost sight of the vehicle.
Houston Police officers found the vehicle on West Rd. The driver fled on foot but the passenger Figueroa, John DOB 12/03/85 was arrested and a search for the driver was unsuccessful.
The suspects had burglarized The Mexican Ice Cream Store located on Rayford Rd and televisions had been removed from the store. Two televisions were found inside the stolen vehicle that the suspects had been driving.
Figueroa was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Business and Evading in a Motor Vehicle.
Deputies are continuing the investigation in an attempt to identify the second suspect.




Well, let me tell you what they will do. He will post a bond and be released with a court date. Which he will undoubtably ignore at which they will issue a warrant for his arrest. If they can find him they re-arrest him and he will post another bond. It is a revolving door with the purpose of collecting money for the county. Each incident produces more fines and fees for everyone.
