MCSO Press Release – Weekly Blotter 3-30-10

District 1 – Lt. Jim Fleming (North County)

On March 19, 2010, an applicantt came into SSheriff’s Offfice Recruitiing Office too submit an applicatioon for emplooyment. It wwas found thaat the applicaant was wannted in Harris County forr felony theft. The applicant was arrested in the Recruiting Office by deputies and moved to the Jail. A Job offer was not extended.

On March 23, Deputies D. Pena and A. Cross were notified of a disturbance in the 12100 block of FM 8330 involving an intoxicated male that had been inside a store trying to entice several customers to fight him. The Deputies located the male standing beside the road attempting to flag down a passing car. The 30 year old male from Arp, TX, was arrested at 7:44 pm, charged with public intoxication and taken to jail.

On March 23, Deputy S. Degner was sent to the area of Shadow Bay and Longstreet in an attempt to locate an intoxicated male that was walking along the road. The Deputy located the male who had no idea where he was or where he lived and was trying to get to a street that was not in thee area. The 221 year old male from Willis was arrested at 10:19pm and taken to jail.

On March 24, Deputy K. Underwood initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed speeding and not maintaining a single lane inn the 11800 block of Calvary Road. The vehicle was being driven by a female who was found to be intoxicated. The 35 year old female from Willis was arrested at 2:39aam, charged with DWI and transported to jail.

On March 24, Deputies C. Robertson and J. Kader were dispatched to a rolling vehicle disturbance in the area of Longstreet and I-455. The vehicles had been stopped by other officers. The two Deputies arrived and observed two vehicles, a passenger car with extensive damager to the front end and a pickup truck with damager to the rear bumper, right side door and front bumper. The Deputies met with a male who was with his 4 year old daughter. The four year old had been in the passenger car when her mother, the driver, slammed into the rear of the pickuup. The pickup truck contained the male and another female. The female hit the pickup several more times. The female then lost control of her car and went into a ditch. The male drove the pickup in the ditch to try and prevent thee car from leaving. The female was able to get out of the ditch, striking the pickup again; however, damaging one of her tires. The vehicle came to a stop and the male went over and took the child out of the car. Thee child had not been in a safety seat.  As the investigation continued the Deputies were advised the female had assaulted the male earlier (in which Deputies had been at that scene). She had bit him on the arm. As for the child, she was given to the grandmother who had previously been given custody by CPS. The 31 year old female suspect from Willis was arrested at 1:35pm, charged with endangering a child, felony criminal mischief, family violence assault, and a possession of a controlled substance warrant out of San Jacinto County and taken to jail.

A 42 year old male from Willis was arrested at 5:28pm, March 27, in the area of Persimmon and Nelwood by Sgt. E. Ward for a theft of property warrant out of Montgomery County. The Deputy had been assisting Deputy A. Terrell on a disturbance call in the 11400 block of Underwood when the male fled the scene and was later located. Deputy Terrell detained the male and Sgt. Ward transported him to jail.

District 2 – Lt. Brady Fitzgerald (South County)

– White Male 22 yrs old from Spring was arrested for Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. Dep. Fruge and Dep. Swank were dispatched to a Burglary in Progress call on Borough Park Drive. Dep. Fruge was the first to arrive on scene and located the vehicle in question. Dep. Fruge found the suspect still in the vehicle rummaging around. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the South Montgomery County Jail without incident.

3/24 – Black Male 43 yrs old from Nacogdoches was arrested after a traffic stop in the 24800 block of IH-45. The suspect was found to be in possession of .5 grams of Crack Cocaine. When Dep. Wakefield checked the suspect by name and date of birth with the dispatcher, and no information was available. While conducting a search of the vehicle a wallet was found with the suspect’s correct identification. Dep. Wakefield had the dispatcher check this information and found that the suspect had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail charged with Possession of Controlled Substance, Failure to Identify Fugitive and the TDC Blue Warrant.

3/25 – White Male 23 yrs old from Spring was arrested for Forgery on Sawdust Road. The suspect paid for a $1.58 Dr. Pepper with a $20 bill. The clerk felt that the bill was a fake, tested it with a counterfeit testing pen, and confirmed that the bill was indeed a fake. The suspect changed his story several times as to where he received the bill. The District Attorney’s Office was notified and they accepted charges for Forgery. The suspect was taken into custody and was transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

3/25 – White Male 30 yrs old from Houston was arrested at 24800 I-45 North. Deputies met with the Loss Prevention officer who stated that he had been conducting an internal investigation into employee theft. During that investigation he went into this location and purchased two palm trees. While the suspect employee was loading the plants, the Loss Prevention Officer offered the suspect an additional amount of money if he would load up 3 additional plants. The suspect loaded up the 3 additional plants, taking money for those plants. It was later discovered that the employee had pocketed the money for the additional plants. The suspect was found to have the money in his wallet. The money was identified by the Loss Prevention Officer, who had previously marked the bills. The District Attorney’s Office accepted charges for Misdemeanor Theft and the suspect was transported to the South Montgomery County Jail.

The following Public Intoxications arrests were made at 305 Sawdust Road:

3/28 – White Male 42 yrs old from The Woodlands, Texas

3/28 – White Male 33 yrs old from The Woodlands, Texas

3/28 – Black Male 21 yrs old from Spring, Texas.

3/28 – White Female 30 yrs old from San Antonio, Texas.

District 3 – Lt. Darrel Conn (East County)
On 3/23/10 Deputy Guion was dispatched to a trespasser call in the 13000 block of Calhoun. Upon his arrival he learned that the suspect had gotten his vehicle stuck while trespassing on the property of the complainant. The suspect was started a disturbance and the police were called. The suspect, a 38 year old male was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass.

On 3/24/10 Deputy Guion was dispatched to the 18000 block of Misty Wood Ct. Upon his arrival he learned that a suspect on scene had been burglarizing several vehicles. Stolen in one of the burglaries was a rifle that the suspect was seen carrying. The suspect, a 27 year old male, was arrested and charged with two counts of Burglary of a Motor Vehicle, Theft of a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.

On 3/27/10 Deputy White was on patrol and observed a vehicle stuck in the ditch on Legion Rd. @ Hwy 59. The driver was interviewed and found to be intoxicated. The driver refused to conduct any field sobriety tests. The driver also refused to provide a breath sample. A search warrant was obtained for a blood sample and one was collected. The driver, a 21 year old male, was arrested and charged with DWI.

On 3/29/10 Deputy Curtis was dispatched to the 20000 block of Dunn St. in reference to a Theft call. Upon his arrival he met with the complainant and learned that two suspects had been caught stealing copper and brass piping from the back yard. The suspects fled the scene in their vehicle. The suspect was stopped by an officer in the vehicle. The copper and brass were found in the vehicle and the suspects were positively identified. Both suspects, 21 year old males, were arrested and charged with Theft of Copper, a State Jail Felony.

On 3/29/10 Deputy Amstutz and Deputy Holden were dispatched to a disturbance call in the 16000 block of Live Oak Square. Upon their arrival they learned that the suspect in the disturbance had fled in their vehicle. They then observed the vehicle in the area and they made contact with the driver. The driver was found to be wanted for Parole Violation out of Louisiana. The suspect was arrested for that warrant. During a search of the vehicle Deputy’s located 12 oz of Marijuana. The suspect, a 40 year old male was also charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana.

District 4 – Lt. David Park (West County)
On March 28th at approximately 10:30 pm MCSO Deputy Hahs and Deputy Zavorski were dispatched to FM 1488 and Goodson Road in reference to an Assist another Agency. Upon arrival the Deputies met with a DPS Trooper and took custody of one 41 year old male subject

On March 27th at approximately 8:30 pm MCSO Deputy Herman observed a male and a female yelling at each other in a parking lot of a bar on FM 1774. Deputy Herman observed the male to be unsteady on his feet and his speech slurred. The male subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported him to the Montgomery County Jail.

On March 27th at approximately 5:00 am MCSO Deputy Hahs and Deputy Zavorski were dispatched to West Pine Hill in reference to Family Violence. Upon arrival the Deputies met with a female subject who advised that her husband had been assaulting her for the past several hours. After observing the female subject’s injuries, the male subject was placed into custody and charged with Assault Family Violence. The MCSO Deputies transported him to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 24th at approximately 12:30 am MCSO Deputy Herman arrived at the 30000 Block of Hazy Meadow for a Warrant Service. Upon arrival Deputy Herman made contact with an 18 year old male subject listed on the warrant for Criminal Mischief. The male subject was placed into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 24th at approximately 1:40 am MCSO Deputy Hollan arrived at the 27000 Block of Pecos Ranch in Magnolia for a Warrant Service. Upon arrival Deputy Hollan made contact with a 22 year old male subject. The subject was taken into custody and transported the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 24th at approximately 12:45 am MCSO Corporal Wienke responded to the 31000 Block of Sunflower in Magnolia, Texas in regards to a Warrant Service. Upon arrival Corporal Wienke made contact with a 40 year old male subject. The subject had an active Arrest Warrant through the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole for violation of his parole for a Robbery charge. The subject was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 24th at approximately 9:00 pm MCSO Deputy Herman arrived at the 18000 Block of Turtle Creek in reference to a Felony Warrant service. Upon arrival Deputy Herman met with a 54 year old female subject listed on the warrants. After Dispatch confirmed that the female subject had felony warrants out of Harris and Montgomery County, the female subject was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident.

On March 23rd at approximately 1:30 am MCSO Deputy Hahs and Deputy Zavorski were dispatched to Nichols Sawmill Road in reference to a Family Violence call. While conducting the investigation MCSO Dispatch advised that the male Complainant had an open warrant out of Waller County for Theft by Check. The male subject was placed in custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail without incident. The female subject on scene was issued a Citation for Assault by Contact Family Violence.

On 03/26 Cpl. Peckne was on patrol in the 15600 block of Marina Dr when he observed a male subject stumbling down the roadway. Upon making contact with the individual it was determined that the subject was highly intoxicated. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication, Misdemeanor (B) (3 or more convictions) and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

On 03/27 Deputy Garner and Deputy Lowe responded to a local restaurant located in the 15700 block of Marina Dr in regards to a Disturbance in progress. Investigation revealed where a male and female patron had assaulted a female employee and then fled the scene in their vehicle. Both the male and female where stopped by deputies as they were fleeing. The male subject was arrested for Assault Misdemeanor (A) and an outstanding Warrant for Theft. The female subject was also arrested for Assault Misdemeanor (A). Both subjects were placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

On 03/29 Deputy Durbin responded to the 1500 block of Chaparral for the report of an Assault. The male Complainant reported that the male Suspect had come to his home and attacked him in the front yard. It was reported that the Suspect choked the Complainant to near the point of passing out. The Suspect was arrested for Assault Felony (3) (Choking) and placed into the Montgomery County Jail.

On 03/29 Deputy Jackson conducted a Traffic Stop in the 14500 block of SH 105 W. The female driver was then found to have an outstanding warrant and be in possession of a controlled substance. The female was arrested for the Warrant Misdemeanor (B) and Possession of a Controlled Substance Misdemeanor (A) and placed into the Montgomery County Jail on an undetermined bond.

On 03/30 Cpl. Spiller responded to W. Alderson Drive for the report of an Assault. Investigation revealed a father and his juvenile son were involved in a verbal altercation over the son getting ready for school. During the altercation, the son retrieved a knife and brandished it while making threats of physical violence. The son was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Felony (2) and placed into the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Center.

District 6 – Lt. David Dottei (Woodlands)

The following Shoplifting arrest(s) were made at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive:

3/22 – White Male 24 yrs old from Houston – The recovered merchandise (13 items) was valued at $152.87. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/19 – White Female 64 yrs old from Spring – The recovered merchandise (2 items) was valued at $500.99. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/19 – Black Male 37 yrs old from Missouri City – The recovered merchandise (4 items) was valued at $176.00. Charges were upgraded from Misdemeanor to State Jail Felony due to two prior convictions for Theft. The suspect was also charged with Fraudulent Use of Identifying Information for using a fake Driver’s License to identify himself to store employees and deputies. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/23 – White Female 26 yrs old from Conroe – The recovered merchandise (7 items) was valued at $57.71. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

3/20 – White Male 49 yrs old from Houston – The recovered merchandise (1 item) was valued at $499.00. Charges were upgraded from Misdemeanor to State Jail Felony due to two prior convictions for Theft. The suspect also received a citation for Criminal Trespass, due to being served with a Trespass Warning for all company stores nationwide earlier this month in Wichita Falls. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.

The following Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Controlled Substance arrest(s) were made:

3/14 – White Male 17 yrs old from Spring was arrested after a traffic stop in the 10300 block of Kuykendahl. The suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana after he was found to be in possession of .05 ounces of marijuana.

3/19 – White Male 20 yrs old from The Woodlands was arrested after a traffic stop at Sawdust and Glen Loch drive. The suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana after he was found to be in possession of .14 ounces of marijuana.

3/28 – White Male 23 yrs old from Porter was arrested after a traffic stop on the northbound feeder road near Rayford Road. During the course of the traffic stop the driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, and was subsequently taken into custody charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The passenger in the vehicle, White Female 28 yrs old from Houston, was arrested for Public Intoxication.

The following Driving While Intoxicated arrests were made:

3/24 – White Male 39 yrs old from the Woodlands was arrested after a traffic stop on S. Panther Creek near Woodlands Parkway. Dep. McCoy attempted to administer the Field Sobriety Tests to the driver, but due to his level of intoxication, the suspect was unable to follow the directions. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

3/25 – White Male 25 yrs old from the Woodlands was arrested after a traffic stop on W. Panther Creek at Woodlands Parkway. Sgt. Jenkins administered the Field Sobriety Tests of which the driver showed several indicators of intoxication. He was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe.

The following Public Intoxications arrests were made:

3/28 – Hispanic Female 26 yrs old from Houston was arrested on Water Way Avenue.

3/24 – White Male 36 yrs old from Austin was arrested on Water Way Avenue.

3/28 – White Male 32 yrs old from The Woodlands was arrested on Water Way Avenue.

3/26 – White Male 36 yrs old from The Woodlands was arrested on Water Way Avenue. The suspect was also charged with Evading Arrest or Detention when he ran from deputies during the arrest for the Public Intoxication.

3/28 – White Female 22 yrs old from The Woodlands was arrested on Lake Robbins.

3/23 – White Male 45 yrs old from Tomball was arrested on St. Luke’s Way. The suspect was also charged with Evading Arrest and Resisting Arrest.
