 Original Press Release

On Saturday, April 17, 2010, a 15-year old boy was reported missing from his home in East Montgomery County just off of Baptist Encampment Road.

Fifteen (15) year old Michael Bradford was reported missing yesterday afternoon by his mother and grandmother.  The young man was last seen by his grandmother around 2:00 PM yesterday afternoon at their home on Village Drive just off of Baptist Encampment Road; soon afterwards the young man could not be found.  No one in the family saw the 15 year-old leave.  The family looked for him until around 7:30 PM and then notified the Sheriff’s Office.

The boy’s family believes that Michael could have walked into nearby woods where he and his brothers have frequented in the past.  While the family is not aware of any reason for the young man to have run away they are concerned because Michael takes medication to control seizures.

With the assistance of Pct. 4 Constable’s Office and the Houston Police Department a search of the woods and other areas was initiated and continued into the night.  Early this morning the Montgomery County Search and Rescue Team arrived and began a more thorough and systematic search of the area both on foot and with motorized vehicles.

At this early morning hour Search and Rescue personnel are waiting daylight and plan on continuing the search.  The Sheriff’s Office has been working with the family to gather as much information as possible about the young man and have been interviewing neighbors and friends.

While it is not known if the young man may have gone into the woods all possibilities are being explored and the investigation will continue.
