Woodlands Home Damaged by Fire – Pet Rescued

The Woodlands, Texas (Montgomery County Monitor) - Just after 7:00 pm Tuesday evening, The Woodlands Fire Department responded to a residential fire on Shallow Pond Court near Sandpebble Drive.  In initial 911 calls, witnesses reported flames coming from the structure and once on-scene firefighters reported heavy flames visible from the garage.

Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the flames in the garage area but the fire had already spread to the second floor of the structure.

The fire was soon under control but the house was extensively damaged.

There were no reported injuries.

A pet was rescued and appeared to be in good condition.

The fire is under investigation by the Montgomery County Fire Marshals Office.

Thank you for reporting on this fire. I am a neighbor and was not home last evening and it helped to view the video. Just as a point of clarification, this residence was on Shallow Pond Court, not Place. There is a Shallow Pond Place, across the street (crazy Woodlands street naming). We live two doors down and are so very grateful to the Fire Department for their swift and thorough response and retrieval of the family pet. And most importantly, that no one was harmed.

    Hi Deb :-)

Glad the video was helpful to you.

Thanks for pointing out the street naming error. It has been corrected.
