Kevin Williams
A jury in the 435th District Court of Montgomery County, Texas, Judge Michael T. Seiler presiding, sentenced Kevin Lee Williams, 17, of Spring Texas, to 30 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Division, for his role in an Aggravated Robbery that occurred on October 27, 2009.
Security cameras showed Williams, wearing a ski mask, pistol-whipping and kicking the terrified 19 year old cashier of the Texas Sunmart at I-45 North and Pruitt Road in south Montgomery County. Williams used a loaded revolver during the robbery. Williams and his 3 co-defendants left the scene in an SUV and were followed by a concerned citizen into the Woodlands. During the chase, a suspect in the SUV fired his gun at the citizen. Montgomery County sheriff’s Deputies and an Oak Ridge North Police officer chased the suspects at high speeds until the SUV crashed through a fence and into a pasture. Williams was taken into custody at a nearby automotive shop approximately 4-5 hours later.
Williams pled guilty and asked the jury to assess his punishment, due in large part to the fast response and complete investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant District Attorneys Jim Pruitt and Mary Nan Huffman emphasized that although he had no adult criminal history, Williams was on juvenile probation out of Harris County for multiple assaultive offenses at the time of the robbery. Two of the other suspects have pled guilty and are awaiting sentencing by the 435th District Court. The final suspect was a juvenile and was sentenced to Texas Youth Commission for his role in the crime.
“Aggravated Robberies are unfortunately on the rise in our county,” said District Attorney Brett Ligon. “I hope other individuals that are thinking about committing this type of crime realize that twelve Montgomery County citizens assessed this 30 year sentence. The people of this county have had enough and even youthful offenders will see significant prison sentences for crimes of violence.”
Williams will have to serve at least half of the sentence before he is eligible for parole.

good, that’s where those punks belong…now go catch the other three around here trying to rob women with there babies in there arms…let’s startgoing after these people the way you spend so much time and money on puting people away for smoking pot.it’s rediculous how much man power is put on petty drug charges, yet these cold hearted punks can’t seem to be caught until they have done it numerous times.
