Conroe PD Press Release – Two of Three Bank Robbery Suspects Captured

On Friday, April 23, 2010, at approximately 5: 25 pm, Conroe Police officers and investigators responded to reported bank robbery at the First Bank of Conroe located at 2201 Westview.  Initial information indicated two black males wearing masks and brandishing handguns jumped over the teller counter and demanded money.  Evidence recovered from the scene along with witness reports also led investigators to believe a third person acted as a getaway driver. 

On April 29, Conroe Police Investigators with assistance from the Huntsville Police Department and the Walker County Sheriff’s Department were able to locate the suspect vehicle at an apartment complex in Huntsville. 

Following additional leads, investigators were able to obtain arrest warrants on two subjects identified as:

Daniel James Mays, 07-18-85

Derik Jarrod Hood, 09-06-87

Both suspects were arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail and charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery, 1st Degree Felony.   Both received bonds set at $500,000.00.  Mug shot photos can be obtained from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.  

A third suspect has been identified but has not been located. 

An arrest warrant for one count of Aggravated Robbery, 1st Degree Felony has been issued on:

Kentdray Cooper

Kentdray Montreal Cooper, 04-25-88

Cooper is also wanted for an unrelated warrant issued from Walker County for one count of Aggravated Robbery, 1st Degree Felony.

Cooper is known to have contacts in the Houston and Huntsville area. 
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Cooper should contact their local law enforcement agency or Crimestoppers program if available.   Persons with information leading to the arrest and prosecution of this suspect may be eligible for monetary compensation from Crimestoppers.  The public should not try to confront or detain this person as he may be armed.
