Woodlands Township 2010 Budget – General Fund

Below is the General Fund portion of The Woodlands Township 2010 budget.

Page 21 is an interesting page containing a $37,000 expense for an employee party and a $60,000 public safety marketing party.  Both of these events are payoffs for the insiders and political supporters of the players.

Don’t forget to notice the $60,000 for song programming of the Waterway Fountain.

Also take note of page 17.  Notice the $72,000 budgeted for credit card fees.  Notice that it is not credit card spending but only credit card fees.  How many credit cards does The Township possess?  Are they paying late fees?

Take a look yourself.  I am sure you can find some disturbing expenditures if you look closely.

The elitist “Woodlands Township” (along with ALL other Public Servants living off the taxpayer’s money)should be made to follow these STRICT (but fair) rules:

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF “THE PRESIDENT AND THE VICE PRES.” OF THE U.S.

    1. NO taxpayer money or campaign donations (through ANY “conduit”)to be spent on “entertainment” or “fundraising” of ANY kind. Let Public Servants pay for their own “parties”.
    2. NO taxpayer money spent on alcohol. Let Public Servants “feel good” on their own dime.
    3. NO taxpayer money for “decorations” like plants, wall hangings etc. Let Public Servants decorate their own offices.
    4. NO taxpayer money for “travel” by ANY non-public servant (such as wives, children, mistresses, companions). NO MORE mixing family vacations with business. Taxpayers will continue to pay for Public Servants legitimate travel on “business”. Let Public Servants spend their own money on family vacations.
    5. NO taxpayer money for “awards” of ANY kind (except Military Heroes). Let Public Servants “pool” their own money to pay for all the “plaques”, “certificates” and “statuettes” handed out every year for alleged “excellence”.
    6. NO taxpayer money for “food” for ANY Public Servant. No luncheons, NO restaurant dinners, NO banquets. Let Public Servants pay for their own food like the rest of us.
    7. NO taxpayer money for healthcare for Public Servants. Let Public Servants foot their own healthcare costs.
    8. NO taxpayer money for Public Servant’s “retirement benefits”. Let Public Servants pay into the same system the public pays into.
    9. NO taxpayer money for Public Servants “auto expense”. Let Public Servants pay for their own automobile costs just like the rest of us.
    10. NO TAXPAYER MONEY FOR ANYTHING BUT “SALARY” FOR PUBLIC SERVANTS!

God knows they get paid enough. There are millions of people right now who would gladly jump right into these Public Servant’s shoes at the same salary and would be ever grateful for the opportunity to “serve”.

If these(10)Rules were adopted, with nothing but their salaries and NO EXTRA PERKS, watch how fast the current public “servants” would flee the scene (back to their “private” enterprises so obscenely enriched during the time of their public “service”), leaving numerous openings on public boards and in public offices for more altruistically-inclined individuals who are likely to have a desire to “serve” (instead of to “take”). Just my opinion…..
