June 2, 2010 UPDATE
Investigators are continuing to process and evaluate evidence involving the shooting that happened on Mill Creek Drive in Montgomery County on May 31, 2010.
The victim has not been able to be interviewed by investigators and suspect descriptions remain vague. A definitive motive has not been determined.

On May 31, 2010 at approximately 5:50 PM, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office District IV patrol units were dispatched to 14000 blk. of Mill Creek Drive in Magnolia in reference to a shooting. When deputies arrived they found a W\M had been shot in the head.
The victim is 64 YOA Veronico M. Trujillo of Magnolia and was taken by air ambulance to Herman Hospital in downtown Houston.
According to witnesses the victim was shot as he sat in his truck at the entrance to his property. Witnesses said that two males came out of the woods from across the street and began shooting. The victim was struck one time in the head and is listed in critical but stable condition this morning.
There is conflicting information about the suspect’s descriptions but the shooter is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20’s with a short haircut. He was using a handgun. Details about the second suspect are incomplete and conflicting. Updates will be released about the second suspect as information is substantiated.
A motive for the shooting has not been determined and investigators are waiting to interview the victim. This case is being investigated by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Texas Rangers.
