On June 29, 2010, around 0830 hrs, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to the M&M Grocery, Magnolia, TX, regarding a robbery. Deputies learned that a white male had robbed the store and fled in a silver passenger car heading towards Dobbin, TX. MCSO Dispatch aired an ATL in reference to the suspect and vehicle. Constable Pct 5, Magnolia PD, and Montgomery PD responded to the area and located a white male suspect matching the description.
Montgomery PD attempted to stop and detain the suspect but he did not comply and fled on foot. A struggle ensued with the Officer being assaulted by the suspect.
The suspect was transported to the Conroe Regional Hospital Emergency and is currently in surgery.
The Montgomery PD Officer was transported to the Conroe Regional Hospital Emergency in fair condition with injuries to his head and face.
The suspect’s name will not be released at this time, pending notification of next of kin. Charges in this investigation are pending

This investigation is being conducted by the Texas Rangers with the assistance of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Unit, along with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Units and representatives from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office
